INTRODUCTION
I live with my wife and two children in
Leeds, West Yorkshire. I am a full time dad, looking after the family and
all things domestic. When the house work is done I can take off my rubber
gloves, put away my duster and get on with more pleasurable pursuits.
I enjoy riding my Suzuki GSF 1200, shooting,
fishing, walking and "wild" camping and Bushcraft! My passion is collecting
and using knives and bladed weapons. I was born in the North East of England
47years ago. Every day on my way to school I passed a fishing tackle shop
where there was a large display of knives in the window, Puma hunting
knives, Normark folders, Sheffield made sheath knives and of course the
obligatory giant Victorinox mobile Swiss Army Knife! I promised myself that
one day I would own some good quality knives!
I carried a small folder most of the time
using it mainly for fishing or camping. The blade broke whilst I was
peeling a turnip that I had borrowed from a local farmer who I didn't know
too well! I learned three valuable lessons that day, use the right tool for
the job, raw root vegetables gives me wind and don’t get caught by a farmer
when you’re nicking his turnips!
I learned to throw knives when I was 7 years
old and started to collect and make some knives when I was 14. As an
"adult" I have bought, sold, used and collected most makes of knives and
about three years ago I found myself concentrating more on Spyderco
products. They are without a doubt my favorite production knife. A
Spyderco knife considering the price, fit, finish, materials used and
customer support I have found is second to none.
I now have a fair collection and some
knowledge of Spyderco knives. During my time getting these knives together
I have made some excellent friends and contacts in Spyderworld, some of
their knife tests and knowledge will be included in this site. This is my
second
attempt at creating a web site so please be patient.
